You can just barely see near the upper left corner of the layout the A Frame house. I had never seen these cards before. They were a bit more than I could budget for, but still an interesting addition to 1978 house collection. I cant imagine too many kids trading Barbie cards.
This is really weird - I had a few sets of these growing up, and I've been looking for them for a while! I think I had the top left one, the one right below that, and the one to the right of that one (the pool scenes). I remember the latter having a little story on the back about (Skipper?) getting a tan, and (Barbie?) goes "You've been kissed by the sun!" and thinking that was just odd. Thank you - I'm going to scoop up a few packs on Amazon and see what I can get. :)
ReplyDeleteYea, sometimes the quotes are strange. My favorite is the 1979 Shaving Ken quote (on the front of the box). Ken: He's all man. ha ha
